Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026 · These terms apply when you use a LegalPoint assistant.

1. What LegalPoint is

LegalPoint provides AI assistants that hold a structured first conversation with a prospective client and produce a summary for a professional firm's advisers to review. The assistants are typically deployed by, and on behalf of, that firm.

2. Not legal or tax advice

The assistant provides general information and intake only. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and using it does not create a client relationship. Nothing it says should be relied on as advice. Decisions about your matter are made by qualified advisers at the firm, who review the summary and follow up with you. Always take professional advice before acting.

3. Accuracy and limitations

The assistant aims to be accurate and is grounded in the relevant scheme rules, but AI systems can make mistakes and rules change. The information you receive is a starting point for a human conversation, not a definitive answer. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

4. Acceptable use

5. Your information

How personal data is handled is set out in our Privacy & Data Handling notice and, where you reached the assistant through a firm, that firm's own privacy notice. You accept the conversation terms before the assistant begins.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may carry out maintenance, without notice.

7. Intellectual property

The LegalPoint software, branding and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose but may not copy, resell or exploit it otherwise. Where an assistant is branded to a deploying firm, that firm's branding belongs to them.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegalPoint is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information provided by an assistant, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
